The new LG Optimus L7 will begin arriving in stores this week. Being part of LG’s L-Series lineup, it has a premium design and a large 4.3-inch display and comes with the latest Android version, Ice Cream Sandwich. The LG Optimus L7 has a slim and sleek body and a thickness of only 8.7mm. With it’s metallic-decorated edges, and seamless key arrangement the device gives an elegant look and feel.
The Optimus L7 features a 5 MP rear camera with an impressive and advanced, six-tenth of a second Autofocus feature, allowing users to capture precious scenes fast and more accurately. Following its release in Europe in early May, the LG Optimus L7 will roll out in Asia followed by other markets around the world soon after.
The Optimus L7 was first shown at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona, Spain earlier this year, and it’s now finally coming to the stores. With it’s L-Style line, LG is strengthen it’s focus on design, aiming to be identified as the leader in design for mobile devices. The core essence of L-Style involves a timeless design with finer details to further differentiates LG’s mobile devices from the competition. The design philosophy is based on five aesthetic elements: Modern Square Style for comfortable grip, Floating Mass Technology for a slimmer look, Seamless Layout for more intuitive key arrangement, Harmonized Design Contrast utilizing metallic accents and Sensuous Slim Shape that naturally draws one’s attention.
The success of the design is of course always dependent on how the customers ultimately perceives the devices, and beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. But you can at least not say that LG isn’t trying to push it’s design to differentiate itself from the rest of the mass of Android devices on the market.
