Samsung Electronics just announced the launch of the Samsung GALAXY Chat, a sleek and compact phone designed for the socially-active user. The new GALAXY Chat will allow its users to connect the people around them more easily. The phone will be available from July starting in Spain and gradually rolled out to Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia at a competitive price point
The phone combines a 3.0 inch touch-screen with a full QWERTY keypad, and is powered by Android 4.0. The design has the look and feel of the Nokia E6 and the classic Blackberry phones, and intends to make it easy to keep up with your social life and turn it into a fast and fun experience.
The Samsung GALAXY Chat has menus with more visual icons, incorporating 3D effects, a fully customizable Favorites tray, and also has widgets that you can resize or reposition according to your personal liking. With Android 4.0 comes the ability to to swipe apps to instantly dismiss them, and you also have the possibility to launch the camera, or view your notifications directly from the lock screen, allowing you keep up with what’s happening with your friends, and also sharing a picture with them fast and easy.
The phone comes with Game Hub pre-packed with some of the most popular social games, and preloaded is also Samsung ChatON with it’s own dedicated launch key. ChatON is a communication service that connects you and users from any phone platform into a singe community, enabling spontaneous group chatting and messaging, whether with text, animations or images, in seconds.
Included is also Samsung’s AllShare Play that allows you to play multimedia both from, and to other connected devices, Quick Office that offers easy viewing and editing of a wide range of Office documents. This enables you to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on the go, and Samsung’s S Planner app that allows you to manage your schedule in an easy and intuitive way.
